No Budget Films Festival
“No Budget Films Festival” is the one and only film festival dedicated to films (short or feature-length) that were not funded by any public or private institutions but still made it to the hearts of the audience and the critics, proving that the essential ingredient while making a film is the love and the faith of directors to their art!
The Festival, an initiative of the Greek Directors Guild, was first implemented on 6-8 September 2019 at the open-air historical space at Akadimia Platonos. The Greek Directors Guild cooperated with the “Politeia” cultural space and the Kolonos Hill Association.
The Festival presented films of various genres and production dates without competition. Along with the screenings, the festival had prepared a diverse program of workshops and creatives’ talks. Admission to the festival was free.
We aspire to present the No Budget Films Festival to many cities across Greece and continue supporting low budget film productions, proving that one does not need to invest much into producing a great film nowadays.
The total number of films that were presented during the festival was 21. The festival created a unique opportunity for the audience to meet and talk with their favourite creators.
