AGRAFIOTIS MICHAIL
() DIRECTORMichail Agrafiotis is a film director and educator. He studied film and TV direction at the National Academy of Theater and Film Arts in Sofia, Bulgaria under Ivan Nichev. He finished his postgraduate studies in Educational Sciences at the Department of Educational and Social Policy of the University of Macedonia, Greece. He is a certified adult trainer.
He teaches cinema at the Art High School of Thessaloniki and at Higher School of Dramatic Art. He collaborated with the Greek Institute of Educational Policy. He was curator of tributes to Greek cinema in Belgrade, Serbia. He worked as a casting director at the agency Happy People.
His interests include the didactic methodology of film in formal and non-formal education, the ideological functions of film, the relationship between film and critical pedagogy, and the relationship between postmodernism and neoliberalism. His essays and articles are published in greek journals and newspapers. He is a member of Greek Directors' Guild.
