VASILEIOS TSIKARAS
(1972) DirectorVasilis Tsikaras was born in Thessaloniki, on 2nd of June, 1972. He studied journalism and few years later he started taking classes in Directing and Acting. In 2011 he wrote his first play (Fish on lips). The same year saw his first screenplay become a film (Fryktoria).
He is a member of the Society of Greek Directors (EES), the Association of Screenwriters Greece (ESE), the Association of North Greece Journalists (ESIEMTH). He is also manager of Theatre Aratos, Aratos Films and Aratos Music.
He is considered as the pioneer in the return of 1821 to the big screen, after 46 years (Papaflessas, 1971), presenting the film «Exodus 1826» (2016) followed by the «Poliorkia» (Siege 2018) and «Pente 5» (Five 2021).
